Washing Machine

We bought a new washing machine. Well, not I nor my sister, but the douche and his wife. They bought it because the old one was leaking. I didn;t notice the leakage, but according to my sister the leakage had been going on for over a month. My lack of knowledge was telling, she said, because it says I rarely do laundry. I rebuttalled stating the fact that I don't wear as many outfits as she does and her constant change of clothes, even to get the mail just outside the front door was enough to frequent her washing to a three or four dayly duty. I, on the other hand don't change my clothes that frequent as well as I accumulate all my dirty clothes to maximise each wash so I don't waste water. Ok the last bit is a lie, but still I don't wash my clothes as frequent but I do do my share of washing.

The new machine is making wave for the douche to change the arrangement of the garage stuff, including his tool cabinet and the shoe storage space. All night and day he worked on it, and involved many people's physical labour (mine not included). Finally, it was completed.

Ok the new rearrangement looks better than before, but still his way of getting the result was poor enough for me to hate it. I can't find anyone else who let others work this much, not even slave owners. Sure I am a bit harsh on him, but since I hate his guts, I won't take back my last remark!

Moving Day

Today is technically the day that my uncle and his family make the official move. Well, they haven't shifted furniture and such to the new house, but there was an official ceremonial ritual that I and my sister took part in. It was early in the morning at 10am (that's considered early in my time) that we went to pick Grams up from her house. She was going to do the moving ceremony, apparently it has to take place before noon. We took her to the Chinese supermarket. There, she bought many fruits and foods ready. After this, we directed ourselves to the new house.

When we arrived at the new address, my sister K took the keys that were given to her by the real estate agent from the previous night and she proceeded to open the door. Grams followed and she made the offerings to the house piety and other ancestrial beings. My uncle arrived in the neck of time when we were going to pray. He did his praying and so did Grams. K and I were doing it because well, we were not the ones who are moving in.

Yum char in the nearby restaurant during which I felt incredibly weak and apprehensive. My mind was telling me not to get in as my heart beat began to pound in a fast manner. Because of my uncle's insistance, we entered.

From this onwards for the rest of the day, my mood had been this terrible. When the children came back home, I was in such a terrifying state that I could cause some damage to myself. I instead proceeded to go to bed, in hope that it would ease the anxiety. Rather, the rest did not help.

I just wanted to leave this place very badly. I want to live a life. Not survive each day like I am doing right now. The more I spent here, the more I want cause harm to myself. It is the only way to let go of the pain and the suffering. But...my sister, she is also in the same situation and I don't think I can leave to cope with it on her own. She deserves more than that.

The day was supposed to be one of the happiest days of my uncle's life. How many times can one buy a neat house and move in. My uncle is making the big splash and he is officially the family man. He has his own house, his little family, and a big fat mortgage to go along with it. How grown is he? I know that I should be happy for him, and I really am. I can't help but see that he is going into the right direction. Well, there were problems along the way, but the ultimate aim was to get a good happy life, and I seriously could see it for him and his family now. I wish them the best of luck and may happiness be with them for evermore.

Preparing to Move

Gramps, this morning has invited my sister to go to her current house. My uncle had informed us last night that he and his family are indeed making a change of address on the 29th, this upcoming date. He even made the call to our relatives who live overseas to tell them of this news. The fact Gramps is inviting K to her place was that she wanted to get things prepared for the transition and my sister would act as her chaffeur when Gramps needed something.

I woke quite early for my liking. I got things done and then we dropped the children, who, by the way, were extremely elated for some reason. Jude was singing in the car on the way to school. Her singing was more like shouting but it showed her elatedness. When I returned back home, I went straight to bed. Feeling highly dazed and tiresome, bed was a good choice.

Now that Gramps and co are shifting to our side of the woods, I'd like to mention something that I'd rather not say it to their faces. It is the fact that I don't wish for them come near here at all. Sure there will be positives that come with it, like, they will be closer so we can visit them as we wish. On the other hand, the downsides will be that the reason we can visit them anytime could also work against us. I will be oligated to visit them more than not, and sadly I just want solitude when I can.

Another thing is that my uncle is getting screwed by this change. He is not realising it, and I am guessing he is not at all questioning someone else's motives, but the people whom I share my living situation with, are trying to make a change of address of their own. They are doing this behind my uncle's back, which to me, strikes as conniving, and very sad indeed. My uncle and his family will move here, thinking he will get benefits from his close proximity to D&O, the people I live with, and their children will have company when they enter the new school because D&O's kids will help them out with fitting in. This is sadly where the problem will rise from. Their assumptions, and it is rightly so I might add, are based on the belief that the couple, D&O, will be living here for however long, which is a mistake. For one, you don't make decisions because of someone else. For two, the people who influence you to make a big of leap is only doing it to benefit themselves. That is seriously the case here.

My uncle and co will move here and he will face astronomical tasks in fitting his family in. Sadly, he will have to somewhat deal with it alone, since his expectations of help from others will not fully realised.

Double the Trouble

My uncle is getting a new house. This is not the uncle who bought a house earlier this year and I attended their awesome house-warming party, it is the uncle that many people in the family regard as a loser. I am saying this to make any point, it is just that he has been a loser all his life. The funny thing is he doesn't seem to get it that people view him this way.

He bought a new house nearby the school where my kids are going to. This is where the problem will be. My uncle's twins, who are only five years old, are right now attending a school next to their current home. They have been naughty and have made themselves a bad reputation for disobedience and having a lack of child development. The school's teachers complained to my sister once when she accidentally went there in search of Gramps who she thought was going to be there. That is beside the point. Anyway, the children are notoriously bad at listening and bad at getting along with their classmates, so how are they going to fit into the new school. The problem will become our problem when they enter there and we, K and I, will have to deal with it. Gramps who is the primary caretaker of them doesn't speak English, and the parents themselves, who are supposedly the protectors and carers, won't be around because their work's interference, or so they say. This would only mean we will have to step in and help, which I can only detect as the problematic life ahead.

The number one issue that I think we will face is the lack of development of the twins. They, despite their age of five, still haven't mastered the speaking and listening ability. They can only draw some short words when they try to speak. Not even a simple sentence like I want that, which is over compelling to them. Listening is something I notice as improving. I spoke to them when they came here and they seemed ok when they listened. However, when I tried to call them by their names, they couldn't even comprehend it. They avoided me when I told them no when they asked me some question. How will the teachers think of this? Only time will tell, I suppose.

The other problem is that now my responsibilty will double from two to four children. I will not only try to my kids to school on time, something I am failing at, I will also have to get the twins to school punctually as well. The teachers will deal with my sister when issues arise, which my sister won't be happy about. Teacher and parents conferences will double. Basically, we are just getting more work load and we can't do anything about it because we are family. Sucks but that is life.

So my life in the foreseeable future is one that I won't stand. Already packed and maybe overloaded, I am about to double whatever else. It's going to be exciting and that is for sure. I will hate it.

First Week of Going Back to School

So the children are back to school this past week, and it had been somewhat a good one. They were good for the majority of the time and the bonus coming out of this is that I am getting the free time when they are gone. Here is how the week went;

  • On Monday I got up and tried to the kids to school before the first bell rang. I did however got them even faster than I anticipated. We arrived to school pretty early. After dropping them off, K and I went to the doctors for her routine evaluation. Something happened and we had an incident involving some deep self-evaluation that I wasn't prepared to learn. Nonetheless we did proceeded to go to our next destination which was the video store. There, we borrowed a DVD set of the show HIMYM. Throughout this week, we watched the DVD endlessly.

  • Tuesday monring came faster than expected. This is because I woke up at six due to my insomniac attack that morning. Then seeing that I couldn't return to the sleepy state, I proceeded to cook and prepared for the children to go school. Jord who woke up next made a big loud noise that essentially had everyone else risen up.
After returning back from dropping the children to school, I went back to sleep, feeling beaten up. K, on the other hand, had gone to the mechanic as her car's Wof date was fast approaching. She didn't tell what the price was but the next day when she needed to get the warrant of fitness checkup, she was forced to reveal, which was just over $220. I almost choked at hearing it but I wasn't the only one who choked too. I will get to it later.
Anyway, the rest of the day was more mundane. We stayed at home throughout, just resting and watching the DVD.

  • Wednesday was busy. K needed her Wof and she had me called my brother to ask where is the cheapest place to had it done. His reponse was to get the car to his place and he would drive us there. It turned out the garage was near his house.
We approached the setting where the checking was to be had, we were waiting for our due time. K let slip off the mechanic's costs which furiated my brother. He went on for thirty on why she was ripped off and how she could have avoided the scam if she let him know about it earlier.
One o'clock came approaching and after the checkup, we decided to head to Yum Char. The place we went to was quiet and quite dirty and expensive in my opinion.
Anyway, we returned to my brother's house after Yum Char. He let us watch this show on his computer until the time we had to come back home.

  • Thursday and Friday were ordinary. We did this and that which wasn't exciting enough to report it.

So the week had been good. I think it was more due to the fact that now I am well connected with my routine and I don't seem to complain them as I was before. My sister, she also notices the change. Despite the good feeling, I still wish to get the results back so I can move on from here asap.

The Holiday pt 2

So the first week was good. How did the second week fare?

Here is some highlights over the second week:

  • Tuesday- gone to the beach when Jude insisted we'd go there. Big bro succumbed to her pressure and we headed there. I was sitting, angrily stomping on the sand beneath because at that time I was suffering from a little xenophobia. The children were happy as usual, playing with the cold water and making objects out of sand. Good day overall.

  • Wednesday was special because we did something out of the norm. We went fishing! The children hadn't done it and I enjoyed the idea that they experienced this novelty as something to be grateful for. We fished on a bridge where many people were present. In the end, there were just nothing in the sea to be caught. The children weren't disappointed and definitely wanted to redeem themselves!

  • Friday was when my brother bought me a new game. It is called Street Fighter. Awesome game I must say. The lead up to buying this was that he wanted to buy all of us a new game, and the night before I kinda let on with getting a fighting game. Him being the older brother came to the house that day, and he bought it for me.
Everything was doing fine until the last couple days. Gran came here when she and the twins that she looks after were invited to come by the o. With this new found revelation, we couldn't follow through with our own plan which was to go out and enjoy the last few free school days. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the holidays more than I anticipated, and I know for a fact the children were jubilant about it too.

The Holiday pt. 1

The holiday is finally coming to an end. I wanted (before this) to write about the holiday during which time I was more concerned with getting through the day than caring about a certain blog that noone reads. Ok I'm being harsh but it is the truth.

Anyway, the first week was good. Started with us going out constantly to the mall and other places. The most prominent locations that we'd been to were the Outlet Clothing mall, and to the movies. Going to the movies is what I will speak first about.

It was on Saturday that it happened. I was looking forward to going there because the children hadn't. I wanted to show them the experience first hand like I had million years before. The movie that we watched was Toy Story 3. My sister was going to invite her best friend and her nephews to tag along. The friend declined so we, nonetheless, escaped to the cinema ourselves.

The cost was high. Seriously, when I say high I really mean rip off. The family pass that we got was $40. That is ridiculous. I was in pain seeing that. This is not the real rip off lies. It was in the foods. For two large popcorn box, with coke large and medium-sized cups, the cost was $20. I'm telling you, the popcorn when we bought in the supermarket with the comparable amount costs way, WAY little than this. It is crap because I can get it under five bucks elsewhere. Those people are in serious robbing people in daylight.

Of course I kept my views on the DL. Didn't feel people, especailly the children appreciate hearing about my conspiracy theory over the costs. They didn't afterall ask to come. It was my stupid and costly idea.

The movie that we watched was Toy Story 3. Jude and Jordan watched the two previous installments and it is appropriate to conclude the series. I also wanted to see it too, since I grew up watching it as well. My sister was not in anyway object because she was out-numbered by us. The movie itself rocked. I enjoyed it as it was very entertaining. THe children themselves were having a blast. K loved it and you could tell she cried with her moist eyes in the end.

The next day was also another good day. It was the time we spent an afternoon in the outlet mall. The mall is filled with shops that sell cheap clothes. Though the clothes have their faults and maybe out of style, the price is definitely the factor for many people to rush there. I, myself, am one of those people. My sister and my older brother, in conjunction with the children, all went that day. My bro bought a pair of shoes and my sister bought a floral top and that was the end of the trip.

I will blog about the second week in the next post...
