Class Photo Day

Yep, it's that time of the year again- the class photo day. It felt like only yesterday that we were trying to tutor Jord about smiling in his class photo. Infact, it went too perfect. He smiled forcibly, but it was really cute as hell. I laughed seeing it later, and was happy he in the least had paid attention to us. Of course we asked him to tone down the smile abit and he promised to look as sill as possible. I just laughed because it's typical of him, and we'll see it when it gets to us in the impending weeks.

Anyway, the day started out aweful because I was really a jack*** to Jude. She was being herself, the obnoxious type, but that is her saying she was joyous. I was more preoccupied by her constant talking than to pay any attention to her body language. I shouted at her for that attitude, which was very wrong of me. Then after she had done consumed her breakfast, I was quite adamant for her to tie her hair up for the photo day. She didn't want to do so, but was made to comply. My sister assisted her, and they left in the ensuing minutes. I felt unbelievably horrible. I should not have done it. She is afterall a child and it just proves I am really a ferocious monster. The guilt stayed with me throughout the day, and it was deservedly so.

Upon their return from school, the children were elated to report to me about how their day, or more importantly how their photos, went. Jord said he had to stand for the class photo, while the individual photo was taken with him sitting. He didn't, however, mention of his facial expression when the photos were taken. We'll have to wait to see it. As for Jude, she said she's always been the person occupying the spot on the side and the position of sitting down. She further elaborated on the instructions by the photographer of how they were supposed to sit up and hands and feet together. She liked the experience, of which hearing that sound had made my day a little more hopeful. Loved to hear that the children would having this nice memories of their early school days with the photos that were done today.

I apologised to Jude, in which she accepted. I hugged her in that apology and she reciprocated with a genuine press. I really need to have my anger in check because I don't truly want a repeat of the incident in the near future. Just relax buddy and don't ever take out on the children for the troubles that aren't their fault.

Sunday

So this morning the two children were gone. Gone where you may ask? The previous night when Jordan went to his parents' room to sleep there for the night, it was a good indication that he was going to their shop. He had been wanting to go there for the last two Sundays, but because of his stay with K, he couldn't be awaken in the middle of the night. Therefore, the sleep in the parents' room showed they were planning to take him along. Jude had been going there every Sunday for awhile now, so her absence was not a surprise.

It was really good for us with the children weren't here. It helps us to have a much needed breather for the overworked week. Anyway, the day was spent by staying at home and then I decided to go to the library by 2. Ken came to visit us at noon, sans his wife. His visit was a short lived one because he took off immediately after he had lunch here. In short, the day had been pleasant and I only wished it would become a regular. I doubt that will happen.

Last Week of May

  • The premature week this is. It has been a boring one at best. Monday to Wednesday was practically a gone-by era since I couldn't recall what I did during those days. One notable thing is my sister's precense at home. She wasn't required to go to work because the woman who is working there has a brother who is acquiring a shop nearby which she now wants to learn the recipes from my aunt's shop. Anyway, K, being absent from work this week, would ensure that the woman would have to work harder. This way, it would reduce the amount of time that she could spent in talking and asking about recipes and running the bakery business. A good reason for my aunt to not want being at work is an excellent excuse for me and of course for my sister.
  • Thursday was the operation day for Gramps. The eye surgery took place way early in the morning because you need to fast for 17 hours or so, and thus she wouldn't have to skip a meal if she did it in the morning. All she needed to do was to go to bed early from the previous night, and by morning came, the recommended fasting period is all used up. My sister assisted Gramps to the surgical threatre and left me taking care of the children, feed, cloth, walk them to school, the preparation. It was all good.
When my sister returned, she took me and Gramps to yum char in the surrounding area. Gramps hadn't eaten since last night and she was very famish for this reason. I asked her if the operation was painful, to which she responded with a no. She said she didn't feel anything. I guess she, having been through much more atrocities in her whole life, was used to little pain. Anyway, the day was spent with Gramps staying with us until the evening, that was when my uncle, the littlest one, came to collect her to go back home.
  • Friday was just another day. I was extremely tiredsome at home alone, with my sister gone to see the doctor with Gramps for her post surgical checkup. I slept for majority of the morning. My sister return with goods from the supermarket that she bought on her return trip because she was going to need extra ingredients for tonight's pizza dinner.
I was figuratively dead in the afternoon. I was exhausted from the overslept and felt extremely hot tempered as well as depressed. I was angry at myself for the life that I am going through, reflecting on the possibilities I could be doing now. I guess I have this sort of emotive reflection every once in awhile. The cause for my depression was just the side effect of the anger. Hating each second spent here!!
My sister tried to cheer me up, but it was to no avail. I know she was meaning good, since she too is dealing with the same sadness and social negligence and other extremities as I am. However, I just wasn't up to anything.
  • Today brought Gramps and the twins here. I don't exactly why she's here, but the best guess is that she didn't want to be left alone with the twins in her eye recovering state. K went to collect early in the morning, while I fed the children and prepared Jord for his Maths class later that morning. She returned an hour later, with some groceries which indicate they had been shopping. Anyway, throughout the day, there was nothing out of routine. Jude, upon the return of her brother from the Maths class, was ready to head to her own Chinese class. Jord eventually got his turn as his sister got back. Routine and routine really.

Eye Surgery

My Gramps received her eye operation this morning, and it was a success. She needed the operation for the reason that she was having difficulty in seeing. The surgery would clear her blurriness. Anyway, she said after the surgery that it didn't hurt at all. We'll see the outcome tomorrow when she goes back to see the orthologist for the post operative checkup.

The day began with my sister gone to attend Gramps' surgery and I was left alone to get the children ready for school. My sister did cook porridge before she left, and I was awaken to feed them. It wasn't a good morning for me, in particular because I was really exhausted. I was quite screamish toward the boy, that he was exceptionally slow in consuming his meal. By the end, though, I did apologise for my seflish behaviour and my anger toward him wasn't called for. The boy accepted the apology.

After having the children to school via walking, my sister came to collect to go to a restaurant. Gramps hadn't ate since last night for the operation, so K decided to take us all out. The day went pretty fast actually because it was quite routine. Gramps did remain with us, only to get picked up in the evening, for she was still recovering and we couldn't let her stay in the house by herself.

All in all, the day is quite productive, yet quiet and quick. I am feeling really sleepy right now, so excuse the mistakes in the post.

Sister

Drug overdose. Never witnessed it in person, only on TV. Tonight is probably my first time seeing a person going through pain of overdosing on drugs. The thing is I am uncertain of what I saw. My sister was getting cold and stomachache simultaneously. What is that? And could you overdose yourself with just one pill, prescribed from the doctor?

Ok so my sister went to see her GP straight after taking the kids to school. She had been going a severe mood swing, and she wanted a pill to help aid that. Off she went, and upon her return, she brought with her anti-depressants. I knew she would receive this type of drugs. So she took one of it and the day carried on as normal and without any symptoms. After lunch though, she ate the egg leftover from this morning. She felt some stomach uneasiness but didn't think twice of the cause. She did her usuals and by nighttime came, she was feeling exceptionally paranoid of her stomach. Her head began to get cold. She asked me to take Jord, our little cousine, to go to sleep. Eventually, the boy slept, so I returned to my room only to find my sister was going through, what seemed like medical surgery had just been performed on her. She was severely in pain. My sister complained that she was having a very cold feeling in her brain, and her stomach is aching as hell. As she was explaining the conditions, I was freaked to see her next movements, which were involuntary stomping and banging on my bed with her hands. I was scared and I almost called the poison hotline. She stopped me, saying she could cope with it. I then let her lie down in my bed with a hot water bottle to see that could allevaite some pains. If it didn't, I would call the hotline. Thank god, she felt much better in a little after lying down.

How to explain this episode more clearly is that she was suffering from an overdosage of the sole anti-depressant pill she took earlier today. I found it hard to swallow the overdosage claim because it is just one pill. I've never heard of such thing. I learned from tv that people do get durg overdose in the event that they consume much drugs simultaneously which to warrant early death. Many celebrities had done it. So to think my sister was experiencing an overdose was not feasible in my head. This claim however is proven correct when I later read of the possible side effects on the drug that she took.

She told me that she will not consume anything to make yourself worse than it already is. She had gone through it and I knew she learned her lesson. I am just glateful that nothing serious came about from this incident.

Photos

My brother came today and he brought with him a ST card, whatever that is. What this card does is it helps my computer recognise the camera card, which is awesome. I have many photos that were needed saving from my camera, but my computer doesn't have the memory card slot that others have. Anyway, here are some of the photos I have taken.

This photo was taken in the summer earlier this year. We captured this pic on our way to Coromandel Peninsula. Good times.

A tall tree from nearby park. My little cousins always refer to the tree that ginormous tree, since we can see it from our house. And when people want to search for our address, we tell them to look for the gigantic tree and there you will find our house. Funny that.

Random pic from a small walkway near our house.
